Dermapen

What is Dermapen?

The Dermapen is a microneedling treatment for the skin that requires little to no downtime and encourages scarless healing and the production of natural collagen. This helps improve the appearance of scars, acne scarring, stretch marks, wrinkles, and pigmentation while rejuvenating the skin.

How does the Dermapen work?

A Dermapen works by puncturing the skin using a spring-loaded automated mechanism. The DermaPen employs microneedles to travel up and down across the skin, puncturing microscopic holes as it moves. This allows the Dermapen to perform its purpose.

The mechanism contained within the Dermapen is responsible for stimulating the production of healthy collagen and producing small punctures in the skin, both of which are necessary for the absorption of nutrients into the deeper layers of the skin. Because the process with the Dermapen is so quick, the dermal layers of the skin are not compromised in any way.

What are some of the benefits of employing a Dermapen?

The most significant benefit of using a Dermapen is the improvement in overall skin tone and texture that occurs after treatment. Additional benefits include the depreciation of the appearance of pores in the skin, a reduction in the formation of superficial wrinkles, and a reduction in the appearance of stretch marks.

Does the Dermapen cause you any pain?

You may feel some discomfort during the skin needling treatment; however, you can lessen this by applying a numbing lotion before the procedure. You may experience pinpoint bleeding during the therapy itself; however, this bleeding will not continue after the treatment has concluded.

Depending on the type of therapy you receive, you can have transient redness of the skin for a few hours or perhaps a whole day. This redness will typically clear up really soon; however, if you have any discomfort that lasts for an extended period of time, it is recommended that you get in touch with the surgery that performed your treatment.
